Maggie Crawford is the Newseum’s director of education. In this role, she oversees outreach efforts to extend NewseumED’s robust collection of educational resources to teachers across the country and to groups visiting the Newseum, as well as develops partnerships with organizations and institutions. Maggie brings diverse experiences as a museum educator, teaching audiences from age two to 72 about the wonders of nature, history and culture. Prior to joining to the Newseum in 2007, Maggie worked at the Smithsonian American Art Museum and the International Spy Museum and also managed the early childhood exhibit at the Gulf Coast Exploreum Science Center in Mobile, Ala.
