Jan Neuharth is the chair and CEO of the Freedom Forum and a trustee of the Newseum and Newseum Institute. An attorney and author, Ms. Neuharth is the founder of Paper Chase Farms, Inc., an equestrian company established in 1985 in Middleburg, Virginia, where she continues to serve as director of marketing for the retail area and editorial director of the publishing division. Prior to establishing Paper Chase Farms, Ms. Neuharth practiced law with Paul, Hastings, Janofsky and Walker in Los Angeles, worked as a press assistant for Sen. Howard Baker in Washington, DC, and conducted political polling for Louis Harris International in London. Ms. Neuharth is an active member of the California Bar and admitted as an Attorney and Counselor of the United States Supreme Court. She earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Florida, a juris doctorate from Vanderbilt University School of Law, and was awarded an honorary doctor of humane letters from the University of South Dakota. Ms. Neuharth serves on the boards of several non-profit, corporate and community organizations, and is the author of the award-winning Hunt Country Suspense series.
