First Five

Your regular dose of First Amendment News

The First Amendment protects five core freedoms that are under attack every day — from the left, the right, and everywhere in between.

The Newseum Institute’s regular news roundup, First Five, is a newsletter that strives to foster interest in First Amendment news and provide a platform for discussion among enthusiasts and activists. Beyond being a true testament to the Newseum Institute’s mission, The Five was created with multiple objectives in mind:

  • To spark First Amendment dialogue online. What are your thoughts and opinions? Make them visible, tweet them to us @NewseumInst, and let your voice be heard (or seen) online
  • To keep readers up to date on thought-provoking, First Amendment stories that highlight frequent attacks on journalism

First Five: Rejecting Islamophobia, Flying Dog wins First Amendment battle, Columbia’s new First Amendment center, NPR One goes local
